Downtown Vision Plan

City officials in Upper Marlboro had a goal to transform its downtown into a vibrant, inclusive space. They hired Better City advisors to partner on creating a vision plan that included a rebranding of the town’s logo and messaging. The Better City team did this through interviews, surveys and public meetings within the community. 

This result of this project was a unique Vision Plan that focused on moving out businesses and industries that were driving residents away from downtown, and then bringing in projects that would draw residents back. Currently, city officials and Better City team members are working to secure funding that will implement this plan into the community.
