Grants in Silver City

This project is a continuation of the working collaborative relationship between the Town of Silver City and other local municipalities, the school district and other nonprofits. These organizations have worked together to conduct studies and secure grants. Silver City, New Mexico desired assistance to create a sustainable program to fund their economic development aspirations and plans. Better City made the recommendation to establish an Economic Development Organization (EDO). This organization would comprise of private and public members to focus on workforce development. 

A grant was secured as a result of this project through the Economic Development Administration to fund the new EDO in Silver City. The organization has now been established and has begun its search for an Executive Director to catalyze the vision of this New Mexico community.
